“Safety conception and PSAR review of a
Near Surface RW Disposal Facility”

The training course organized by ITER-Consult has a duration of fivedays and deals with the safety conception of a Near Surface RW Disposal Facility, its safety analysis and the safety evaluation to be performed by the regulatory authority for licensing purpose.

The training course will present and discuss the conception of a Near Surface Disposal Facility (NSDF) for radioactive waste and its safety requirements, the content of PSAR for construction license and the approach for regulatory review with particular attention to the methodology to perform long-term safety assessment.
The use of specialized software to perform long-term safety analysis (modelling and calculations) after closure of NSDF will be introduced.

The training is dedicated to staff of nuclear regulatory authorities, TSO organizations, Waste Management Organizations and other companies dealing with RW management.
